RACAN-F-XED
SWANS Heated-Lens Goggles Evolve Further! Featuring the new F-XED system that prevents fogging even while the lens generates heat, combined with a large flat lens design compatible with eyeglasses.
The XED goggles equipped with the HEAT-LENS heated lens ensure a safe, clear view in the harshest winter mountains—now renewed with performance that greatly surpasses previous models.
The lens-heated technology "XED" adopted model which ensures clear visibility even the severe conditions environment by heating its lens.

Prevents fogging through surface heating
Fogging is the biggest enemy of goggles. A major cause of this fog is condensation, which occurs when the temperature difference between the inside and outside becomes large. In snowy mountains, snow often gets inside the goggles after a fall, or body temperature rises and sweat builds up during climbing and hiking. When this condensation freezes, it can severely reduce visibility—creating serious danger.
The SWANS XED goggle*1 traces its origins back to the 701ED, developed about half a century ago, which prevented fogging by heating the lens itself with an electric heating wire. By warming the lens surface, the goggles eliminated fogging and condensation, ensuring clear vision even in strong winds or blizzards, and supporting safe skiing and mountaineering. Because the goggles also cover a large portion of the face, they provide warmth, prevent frostbite, and protect against branches or obstacles. For these reasons, some users even nicknamed them the “Hell Goggles.” They have been widely adopted not only by skiers and winter mountaineers, but also by ski patrol teams, mountain rescue units, and expeditions to Antarctica and Mount Everest.
The new XED lens, RACAN-F-XED, combines SWANS’ decades of anti-fog lens development with Panasonic Industry Co., Ltd.’s FineX*2—a transparent, highly conductive metal mesh film with low resistance and excellent clarity. This integration has significantly enhanced the lens’s fog-free performance.

Zero Moisture on the Lens Surface!
HEAT Lens Technology + High-Performance Anti-Fog Double Lens
A transparent conductive film, FineX*1, applied to the inner lens surface is powered by a portable battery to evenly heat the entire lens. This process evaporates moisture on the inner lens, preventing condensation and freezing.
In addition, the Double Lens*2 structure creates a thermal buffer layer between the inner and outer lenses to stop condensation, while a high-performance anti-fog coating is applied for maximum clarity. The result is the ultimate goggle designed with an uncompromising commitment to fog-free vision.

*2 Double Lens: A lens structure that combines two lenses to create an insulating air layer, reducing temperature differences between the outside air and the inside, thereby preventing fogging.
Provides up to approx. 8.5 hours of continuous operation (*).
Equipped with a rechargeable portable battery that can be used again and again.
The battery is a cost-efficient rechargeable type, offering up to approx. 8.5 hours of continuous use when powered ON.
An indicator lamp lights up during operation. Equipped with an ON/OFF function and USB–microUSB connection.
For safe use, store the battery in an inner pocket of your jacket using the included retractable anti-drop curl cord.
* Based on a fully charged battery tested at room temperature. Actual performance may vary depending on conditions. In sub-zero environments such as snowy mountains, voltage may drop, which may reduce heating performance or shorten operating time.
Battery runtime shown is a reference for the 2025–2026 release models.
Compatible with Eyeglasses
Frame design allows use together with eyeglasses.
*Please note: Depending on the size and design of the eyeglasses, they may not fit properly.
CLARITEX MESH
Water-repellent mesh on the upper vents reduces snow buildup and moisture intrusion.
OTHER LENS TECH
Ultra lens
This high-visibility lens, jointly developed with Kinki University, allows the user to clearly see bumps and dips even in dark conditions. This lens technology also makes it easy for the eye to adapt to scenes in which light and dark conditions change at high speed, such as on a forest course.
Premium Anti-Fog
Premium Anti-Fog is a high-performance anti fog lens with improved absorption compared to conventional lenses. It controls fogging by absorbing moisture that accumulates inside the goggles like a sponge. The lens regenerates its absorbing power as it gets dry, so it is important to maintain the lens after use.
※The lens surface is coated with our original coating called "Claritex" (water-repellent coating), which prevents water drops and snow from sticking to the lens even in bad weather conditions such as rain and snow, and also prevents the sticking stains, thus ensuring a clear field of visibility.。
The round sticker attached to the lens is an "APA (Atmospheric Pressure Regulator) filter", which is used to adjust the air pressure in the inner air layer of the double lens.
If this seal is removed, moisture may enter between the double lens and make it unusable, therefore, please do not use the lens without the seal.
If the seal is accidentally removed before use, be sure to attach this “APA (air pressure regulator) filter” to the lens before using the goggles.
[Important notice]
The round sticker called "APA filter" on the lens must not be removed.
