POLARIZED

What is Polarized lens?

Polarized lenses are special lenses with a filter function that effectively reduce glare caused by reflected light from surfaces such as snow, water, roads, and car windshields. SWANS lenses are designed with durability to withstand various outdoor sports environments, including different temperatures, humidity levels, and underwater conditions.
What is polarization degree?
It refers to the percentage of reflected light that is cut. In Japan, lenses with a polarization degree of 90% or higher are defined as polarized lenses. There is a correlation between the degree of polarization and the brightness of the lens, so polarized lenses with lighter colors tend to have a lower degree of polarization.

The difference in visibility through polarized lenses

Driving a car and playing golf

By cutting the glaring reflected light, it becomes possible to reduce the glare from the road surface and grass, ensuring a clearer and more comfortable view.

※The importance of using polarized lenses
When wearing polarized sunglasses and viewing an LCD screen that uses a polarizer (such as car gauges, navigation systems, smartphones, etc.), please be aware that the display may appear darker or distorted depending on the angle at which you are viewing it.

Situations such as rivers, lakes, and oceans.

Polarized lenses effectively cut reflected light from the water surface, reducing glare and allowing for clearer visibility of fish shadows and underwater structures. These lenses are not only suitable for fishing situations but are also available in swimming goggles designed for use in open water sports.

Situations such as skiing and snowboarding in mountain environments

By reducing glare caused by light reflection, it captures the contours of the snow surface and ensures a clear view.
